Taylor Advisors is a balance sheet consulting firm and SEC-registered investment advisor servicing financial institutions in the areas of investment, liquidity, asset/liability, and risk management based in Louisville, Kentucky.

We firmly believe in an individualized approach to consulting services, and that there is no single strategy that suits every institution. Making the right decisions requires an understanding of the interrelationships between an institution’s assets, liabilities, the changing financial markets and economic trends.

Our main goal, to help banks executives improve profitability while managing liquidity and interest-rate risks, and regulatory criticisms – what we call Balance Sheet Management (BSM). BSM consulting entails providing advice, strategies and, most importantly, education in many areas: asset/liability, investment, liquidity/funding, deposit & risk management.

We realize that every institution is unique, and therefore requires a discipline process with customized strategies. Our ultimate objective is to help facilitate a highly focused investment and/or ALCO discussion with senior management to improve decision-making while providing the necessary documentation to satisfy a regulatory examination.

Outperformance is not always about capitalizing on opportunities, but frequently is about mistake avoidance. Today, once high- performing banks have fallen to missteps in either the investment portfolio or basic balance sheet management. Often, having appropriate risk management and independent review could have prevented these problems. An objective set of eyes to provide oversight of the bank's balance sheet would be a cheap insurance policy to minimize the risk of costly mistakes to earnings and/or capital.
